Baby-Namings & B'rit Milah ("B'ris")

New baby? Mazal tov!
Congratulations on the addition to your family. May your child grow into a life of good deeds.

You're now standing where our people have stood since the time of Abraham and Sarah.
Welcoming your child into the covenant and giving them a Hebrew name is part of an unbroken chain of tradition going back thousands of years.

Choosing a Hebrew name can be challenging.
Families may want to preserve the memory of ancestors, honor Biblical or historical role models, or choose a name whose meaning is fitting for the child, aspirational for their future, or simply esthetically pleasing. I can help with the process, too.

There are several existing beautiful naming ceremonies...
or I can work with you to craft your own. See the FAQs under "Baby-Namings" for details.

B'rit Milah ("the covenant of circumcision"; a.k.a., "b'ris") is an integral part of Jewish identity.
I know some parents have questions about circumcision, and I'm happy to have the conversation. (See FAQs under "B'rit Milah ('B'ris' / Circumcision)" for more information.)
